HISTORY
Grandparents Parenting...Again was founded in 1995 by Anne Pierce when she became a parent to her two grandsons. When she returned home to Santa Rosa, California she found there was nowhere in the county she could go for the unique type of support that was needed for grandparents raising their grandchildren.
Since the time the support group began, it became apparent that much more was needed in the way of services and information for kinship care providers.
In 1998, in order to grow with the need and be better able to coordinate efforts, Pierce established Grandparents Parenting...Again as a nonprofit organization.
